Corn snakes are a member of the Pantherophis guttatus species. This species was formerly called Elaphe gutatta gutatta. Corn snakes are non-venomous.


Central bearded dragons are found naturally in a wide range of regions of central Australia. They are great climbers and spend an equal amount of time up on tree limbs as they do on the ground.

Otis is our farm dog who comes in 3-4 days a week to assist our Animal Care and Animal Management students with their coursework.


Axolotls, or Mexican Salamanders, often thought of as fish are actually amphibians. The species originate from different lakes around Mexico City but in recent years populations have declined due to urbanization in Mexico City and water pollution

The domestic Guinea Pig are not found living naturally in the wild, however their wild relatives originate in the Andes, not Guinea.


Hermann’s tortoise (Testudo hermanni) is a small-sized tortoise. Its scientific name is derived from the French naturalist named Jean Hermann.
